Your game plan
A game built around you.
JP doesn’t hand every student the same moves. He looks at how you move, what you enjoy and what you’re good at, then uses his own system as the starting point for a plan that fits you and takes you to your next level.
- AssessYour style
Body type, experience, favorite positions and the goals you’re training for.
- ChooseYour positions
A core set of guards and attacks that suits how you move, drawn from JP’s guard and leg-entry game.
- ConnectYour chains
Link those positions into sequences so every move sets up the next one.
- TestLive rounds
Pressure-test the plan in sparring and competition, then adjust what isn’t working.
- GrowNext level
More confidence, better decisions under pressure, and a game that keeps growing with you.

The coach
He learned on these mats. Now he teaches on them.
JP started at Art of Jiu Jitsu as a yellow belt. Today he competes at the top of his division, leads AOJ’s Level 3 Kids Competition No-Gi program and coaches the Kids Gi program, alongside some of the best instructors in the sport.
- He’s still competing. What he teaches is what works for him against the best in the world right now.
- Details first. Clear, step-by-step technique you can use in your next round.
- He remembers being new. He was a beginner here not long ago, and he teaches with that patience.
What parents can expect
